ST. ANN'S ALLOTMENTS, NOTTINGHAM. AN ENGLISH TREASURE.
Yesterday, I discovered some of the fascinating stories from bygone days through an STAA guided tour at St. Ann's Allotments, a mere stone's throw from the city of Nottingham.
St Ann’s Allotments, a unique 70-acre green space in Nottingham City, was developed from common ground and Victorian leisure gardens into a vibrant community resource, boasting the oldest and largest area of detached town gardens in Europe.
Subscribe to keep updated as I hope to tell the varied stories of a few allotments.
Today's visit was my second time at St. Ann's, comprising of a 90-minute tour by the STAA that deliver events and volunteer opportunities from St Ann’s Allotments.
A few iPhone captures pending captures from my 65 year old film-camera, when I will complete this post both visually and written. Be sure to check out the beautiful grey brick wall, constructed from bricks that originally formed part of the regions arched railway bridges!

With thanks to STAA, and our STAA volunteer tour guide, Paul, who was supported by Therza. A great duo!
